The word ‘root canal’ conjures up feelings of fear and anxiety for a lot of people. However, this should not be the case. Root canals need to take place when the pulp inside of the tooth becomes infected. This can happen when there is a deep cavity, repeated dental procedures, trauma, a cracked or broken tooth. Patients at Bomstad Dental report root canals to be no different than any other dental procedure they have had done; easy and painless. Dr. Bomstad and Dr. Karban pride themselves on making their patients very comfortable in the dental chair. You may be in need of a root canal if your tooth becomes sensitive to hot or cold food or beverages or hurts when you bite down, it may mean that your tooth has become infected. Another sign of infection is if the tooth becomes discolored or if the gums around the tooth swell. In some cases, a tooth will have no symptoms, but a dental exam and x-ray will reveal a tooth that requires root canal. Again, if you find yourself if the position of needing a root canal, don’t panic. Root canals should NOT be feared. Here’s what some of our patients have to say about root canals and Bomstad Dental.
“The office is very inviting and comfortable. Everyone is so nice and friendly. I have had a few bad experiences with other dentists that have left me with an aversion to going the dentist. While I’m still not a fan of going they have definitely made it easier for me to go. Shelley and Dr. Karban are wonderful. They made my appointments so much better. I may not have been part of the conversations seeing as it’s hard to talk with your mouth open, they talked to each other making it so much easier to concentrate on that then what was happening during my root canal. Thank you!”
“My thanks to Dr Bomstad and staff for working in my wife to a busy clinic day, having tooth pain is no fun, worse when you can’t get someone to see you. As a new patient to the clinic, she was treated like family, and was pain free after the first stage of a root canal procedure. I will soon be joining my wife as a patient in the clinic. Thanks Bomstad Dental.”
“I went in for a my bi-annual cleaning and check-up. Cleaning went great with a little question on my bridge. Sandy took a look then called in Dr. Bomstad and they found that the front portion of the bridge was loose. Turns out that the tooth was broken and that is what made the bridge move up and down. Upon removal of the bridge and further inspections I received a root canal also, on the same day return visit. The bridge is being made and look forward to returning to the office for more great service. Thanks to all of the gang at Bomstad Dental.”
“I have been going to Bomstad Dental for many years. As most people, I am not a fan of going to the dentist, but everyone at Bomstad makes it comforting to be at the dentist and takes the extra step to make sure that I am comfortable. I would highly recommend Bomstad Dental to anyone looking for a Dentist.”
