We have lots of wonderful mothers at Bomstad Dental, but this Mother’s Day we are spotlighting Laura and her two daughters, Brenna and Brooke. Laura has been Dr. Bomstad’s assistant since 2012 and we are quite certain Dr. Bomstad could never function without her! Laura and her husband, Scott, live in Plymouth and are blessed with two beautiful girls and one very unique cat. Brooke is a junior at Wayzata High School and involved in many community service activities-most of these activities revolve around her love of kids. She has recently been chosen to participate in a new program at Wayzata High School called “Intro to Education” and is very excited about this opportunity. Next year she will get to go into her old elementary school and mentor kids. Laura and Brooke have recently taken up yoga and are loving it. Their cat loves it too. Believe it or not, their cat does yoga with them! Hmmm, a cat that does downward dog, now that’s something I’ve gotta see-ha! Brenna is Laura and Scott’s youngest daughter, she is a freshman at Wayzata High School. Brenna is a talented writer and chef. Recently, she was chosen to attend a writer’s workshop at Bethel College and one of her short stories was highlighted at her school. Probably one of the most helpful things for a working mom is Brenna’s ability to cook. She is a phenomenal cook and cooks nearly every night. Her family jokes they would starve without her!
Laura tells us her favorite thing to do with her girls is shop, which they tend to do too often according to her husband! Laura’s love for her girls is more than evident when she talks about how special they are. Her favorite Mother’s Day was when she told Brooke she was going to be a big sister. Brooke’s response to this exciting news, “Why don’t we just get a puppy?!” This Mother’s Day Laura and her girls plan on lunch and a movie, the movie of choice: “Mother’s Day” of course! Laura is very blessed and when asked what is the best thing about being a mom, she said, “Seeing your kids grow up to be the people you always hoped that they would be and knowing that you were responsible for that.” Well, the apples don’t fall too far from the tree…I am certain these talented, hardworking, creative, loving, beautiful, smart girls take after their mama!
Bomstad Dental wishes Laura and all of the other mother’s out there a very happy Mother’s Day!
