The Dental Wand is Pure Magic!
If you have never heard of a dental wand, you are missing out! The days of painful injections are over. At Bomstad Dental we believe in making your dental experience as pleasant as possible, this is why we use a dental wand. A dental wand is a small computer that aids in the delivery of anesthetic. Most patients don't feel a thing when the anesthetic is being delivered. The dental wand is light weight, affording your dentist better control when administering injections. The dental wand also warms up the anesthetic, making for a more comfortable injection. Most importantly the dental wand slowly administers the anesthetic in a controlled manner making sure your tissue is numb. The dental wand has revolutionized the dental industry, truly making for "painless dentistry". If you have been putting off dental work due to the fear of it being too painful, don't put it off any longer. Call Bomstad Dental today, 952-938-7746, or click HERE to request an appointment. … [Read more...]

Does the Type of Filling Material Matter?
Did you know there are different types of filling material used for fixing cavities? Silver amalgam and composite resin are the two different products used, but does it matter which one you get placed in your mouth? The answer is yes! At Bomstad Dental we use composite resin because of it's superior bonding ability. Not only does composite resin match the color of your tooth, unlike the "old fashion" silver fillings, but you will not lose as much tooth surface with the composite resin filling. The "old fashion" silver amalgam filling requires more tooth structure to be removed when restoring the tooth. In dentistry it is always better to keep as much original tooth structure as possible. The way composite resin fillings bond to the tooth make the tooth stronger, lessening the likelihood of fracture or breakage in the future. At Bomstad Dental we strive to provide the best dental care possible. If you have a tooth that needs to be repaired, give Dr. Bomstad or Dr. Karban a … [Read more...]
